Koukaki Apartment

For the renovation of this central Athens apartment, internal walls were demolished to create a continuous living area.  To bring natural light further into the apartment and to increase the sense of space, an internal window was introduced at the heart of the house.

As one enters, they find themselves in the center of the apartment, their gaze led sequentially through an interior, then exterior window looking towards the Acropolis. The Client wanted to create a rich, colourful space.  To rationalise this ambition and create a sense of continuity with the newly opened up configuration, the colours gradually shift between hues creating a soft, yet vibrant whole that reflects the owner’s sophisticated style and personality.
