In 1834 Hokusai illustrated Mountain Fuji from every angle and context, capturing the gift of immortality that lay hidden within it. 100 Views of Acropolis is a collection of one hundred images of the holy rock that sits at the center of Athens. This is seen in differing seasons and weather conditions, from a variety of places and distances. 100 Views shows how life in Athens in all its shifting forms is inextricable from the unchanging form of the sacred mountain.
